Pressure transducer for budget conscious autosport applicationsThe AS motor-sport pressure transducer is an economical sub-miniature pressure sensor specially designed for use on auto-racing engines and chassis systems.

The body dimensions of the AS auto-sport pressure sensor are a compact 21mm in diameter by 24mm long which allows it to be used in almost any area of the racing vehicle.  A variety of pressure connections appropriate to autosport applications are available and the electrical connection to the motorsport datalogger or engine management system is provided by a booted raychem DR25  cable protected to IP67.

To ease installation the AS auto racing pressure transducer has a hex nut fitted to the back of the sensor to facilitate easier removal  and fitting of the sensor into hard to reach or recessed areas.

There are a choice of electrical signals for the AS motor racing pressure sensor to suit different autosport electronics: a 0.5 to 5 volt driven by a 8-16 volt power  supply or a 0.5 to 4.5 volt ratiometric signal driven by a 5 volt power supply.

All the typical motorsport pressure ranges are covered by the AS autosport pressure transducer starting from 1 bar gauge or absolute to cover lower ranges such as engine oil, airbox & fuel pressure and up to 400 bar for measuring hydraulic, pneumatic, fuel system &  brake fluid pressures.

The AS motorsport pressure sensor has a rugged construction to withstand a high vibration environment and low noise RFI filtering is incorporated into the electronics to protect the sensor from two way radio transmitter interference.
