Battery powered digital pressures gages are generally more accurate and easier to read precisely than mechanical dial pressure gages.Analogue dial pressure gages are not as accurate as solid state pressure gages due to the accuracy and stability of strain gage sensing technology over the bourdon tube technology used in most dial pressure gages.
Also there is no ambiguity when reading a digital pressure gage since unlike analogue dial pressure gages there is no parallax error caused by viewing a needle on a dial with limited resolution at different angles.
The baroli pressure gage is intended for users of hydraulic and pneumatic systems including process manufacturing, marine, laboratory, R&D, production systems and automation.
The baroli digital pressure gage comes in two versions: a Baroli precision pressure gage with an integrated piezoresistive, stainless steel sensor, which has an accuracy of ± 0.125% FS BFSL (full-scale, best-fit straight line). Alternatively, customers can opt for a Baroli low cost industrial pressure gage with an integrated ceramic sensor, which has an accuracy of ± 0.25% FS BFSL. Both versions come in a rugged, IP65 polycarbonate housing.
Both versions are designed to be fitted easily and quickly in-situ. The LCD display can be rotated independent of the housing, providing the engineer with clear sight of the digital display at all times, regardless of the mounting configuration. The housing itself rotates 270 degrees about the horizontal axis.
The baroli digital pressure gage is operated through a simple, menu-driven display via three push buttons on a touchpad. As well as showing information about the nominal pressure range, the unit can be adjusted by the user for maximum and minimum pressures of the process. Users can also choose which units of measurement they prefer, including bar, mbar, PSI, mWG, inHg, cmHg, mmHg, kPa and MPa. The 4.5-digit LCD shows measured values at a digit height of 0.433 inches and the user can also set the position of the decimal point.
Nominal pressure range for the lower cost ceramic Baroli pressure gage are from 23 psi up to 6000 psi gauge or absolute. For the stainless steel version, nominal pressures are from 1.5 psi up to 9000 psi gauge or absolute. The baroli pressure gage weighes approximately 300g and the operational life of the battery is approximately five years in standby mode. The pressure gage is fixed into position using standard G1/2 EN837, G1/4 EN837, 1/2 inch NPT or 1/4 inch NPT male thread pressure connectors.
