Robust hand held battery powered multifunctional calibrator for measuring and simulating thermocouple, RTD, mV, resistance, voltage, current, frequency, pulses and pressure when used in conjunction with a calibration hand pump.

The MC2 combined pressure, temperature and electrical calibrator has a partitioned LCD back lit display for readout of both measured and simulated readings. A complete set of calibration functions are included in the firmware such as % and units error, scaling, leak testing, step and ramp, programmable alarms, damping, bar graph, differential, deviation, and redundancy. The instrument is powered by a rechargeable NiMH battery pack which has a 13 to 24 hours operational life in measurement mode with the back light off.

To complement the internal pressure range a number of optional external pressure ranges can also be plugged into the MC2 Electrical, temperature, and pressure calibrator to extend its range to cover all pressure instruments in service requiring regular calibration checks. There is also the option for a barometric reference to extend the range for calibrating both gauge and absolute referenced pressure devices.

Internal Pressure Ranges: ±200 mbar, -1 to 2, -1 to 20 and 0 to 160 bar gauge and absolute if barometer option is selected

Internal Pressure Accuracy: ±0.05% FS NLHR including 1 year stability (±0.05% reading plus ±0.05% FS for ±200 mbar range), add 0.1 kPa uncertainty error for measuring absolute ranges with the barometer option

External Pressure Ranges: from ±10 mbar diff up to 1000 bar plus a barometric pressure option

Voltage Measurement: ±0.25 up to 60 volts dc

Milliamp measurement: ±25mA up to 100 mA

Loop Supply: 24 volts ±10%, 300 Ohms ±20%, HART compatible mode

Frequency Measurement: 0.0027 up to 50000 Hz

Pulse Counter/Generation: 0 to 9999999 pulses

Switch Test: Potential free contacts, test voltage (trigger level) 3V, 0.13 mA (1V) or 24V, 35 mA (2V), voltage level detection, trigger level -1 to 14V in 1V steps

Millivolt Measurement/Generation: -25 to 150 mV

Resistance Measurement/Simulation: 0 to 4000 Ohms

Voltage Generation: -3 to 12 volts

Milliamp Generation: source and sink 0 to 25mA

Frequency Generation: 0.0005 to 10000 Hz

Thermocouple Measurement/Simulation: B, R, S, E, J, K, N, T, U, L, C, G and D type

RTD Measurement/Simulation: PT50, PT100, PT200, PT400, PT500, PT1000, Ni 100, Ni 120 and Cu10 types
