The level tape 100 system is used for determine the depth to water level and the bottom of the well graduated in metres by millimetres or feet by 0.01 feet. The reel unit produces an audible buzz when the probe hits the water and the tape goes slack when the probe reaches the bottom of the well.
The tape can be supplied graduated in either metric or imperial units and is made from Kevlar reinforced polyethylene with stainless steel conductors for the probe connections.
The probe is constructed from stainless steel and Teflon and has a diameter of 16mm (0.63 inches). It is sealed to IP68 and pressure tested to the full length of the tape. When the probe touches the water it will send a signal to the reel electronic unit which sounds an audible buzzer and lights an LED indicator. After a period of time the buzzer will automatically shut off.The indicating circuit is powered by a 9 volt battery.
The reel consists of either a rugged nylon (<= 150m/500ft) or a aluminium (> 150m/500ft) spool mounted on a steel frame with a combined handle, reel lock and casing hanger.
