SDI-12 protocol transducer for sensing water depth level and temperature in seawater, brackish water, tidal water, saline water or leachate. The digital interface conforms to the requirements of the SDI12 support group and can be used with environment monitoring equipment which supports the SDI12 digital communications interface. A high corrosion resistant ceramic diaphragm is fitted a standard and stainless steel 316L, Duplex or Marine Bronze housing materials can be chosen to suit the application requirements. Measure salt water depth in the ranges starting from 0-10 metres up to 0-100 metres, including absolute non-vented ranges from 1.5 bar up to 10 bar absolute.

Product Description
In addition to freshwater applications where a stainless steel housing is adequate for most applications, the S12C can be supplied with a Duplex stainless steel housing for offshore oil rig use where NACE certified materials are required or with a marine bronze housing for general use in seawater.
The digital interface of the S12C submersible pressure and temperature probe uses the SDI-12 software communications protocol which was created to provide a common standard for communicating between field located environment monitoring instrumentation and related sensors. The SDI12 interface is low powered and multiple devices can be connected to one cable reducing installation cost.
For water pipe measurements the protective nose cone can be reomoved revealing a 1/4 bsp male thread fitting. The IP68 environmental sealing where the cable exits the sensor is permanently waterproof to the maximum depth rating of the sensor and also provides a convenient flood protection rating if the sensor is used for water pipe monitoring at installations that are below ground and normally dry.
